Was it “attempted” if he still took power and proceeded to consolidate power and dismantle our democratic institutions?

I don’t know about wealthy districts, but in NYC public schools we sometimes struggle to get students evaluated because the parents still think there’s a stigma, and getting an IEP will hold their child back in the future. Untrue, but exactly the situation these ghouls are trying to create.

What people who are not involved in education don’t seem to understand (willfully, perhaps) is that special education accommodations do not “help” with the test, they remove obstacles. If you don’t know the material, all the time in the world isn’t going to help.

Yes, it's obviously in bad faith. Complain that too many people are getting testing accommodations, make accommodations harder to get, decrease overall social mobility, etc.

Love a good Judge Smails reference

"I've sent boys younger than you to the electric chair. I didn't want to do it, I felt I owed it to them."

Speaking only at the NYS high school level, I can tell you that extra time is not a significant “advantage,” in that 99% of the students without accommodations finish the state exams well within the 3 hour window. They don’t need more time.

I had absolutely no interest in the second movie, but then I watched it and was enthralled. It was so good. Haters (me) be damned, James Cameron knows how to make a movie.

It’s almost hilariously pathetic. They wouldn’t need a warrant if they had “reasonable suspicion,” which is a very low bar, but “I just want to make sure there isn’t a bomb in here” is not a reasonable suspicion. If they said they were checking for a gun it would probably be sufficient.

It’s a 3-bedroom, 7-bath. The coats have their own washroom! Sinks in every room!

Has the person who thinks architects are cooked even looked at the design? I really don’t understand how they think it’s good. Is competency seriously not a consideration?

I only used an AI one time and it told me it could not tell me how to make napalm, but it did tell me the precise chemicals to avoid mixing so I didn’t accidentally make napalm. The idea that these things can continue to be tricked is not hard to believe.

Even though I currently pay for Apple Music, I still have all of my old mp3s saved and can easily download more. Go ahead and raise the prices, you're just going to turn me back into the old me. I'll download a car, I don't care.

Someone living in an Escalade peed on my school a few weeks ago. The kids saw her through the window and started screaming in excitement (there’s a woman out there getting undressed!)

These lists have to be designed to make people mad, or partially chosen at random. Paramore made the list?! I love No Doubt but it doesn’t belong in the top 50. Are we judging based on cultural impact or technical prowess, or what?

Walter Peck has been doxxed and transvestigated because MAGA heard he’s dickless.

The Fifth Element and The Other Guys are probably the movies with the largest gap between how much I love and recommend them and how much the people I recommend them to enjoy them.

I think it depends on the circumstances. The Donner Party is widely celebrated on here, and by the left in general. There also seems to be some tolerance for the Catholic sacrament. Yet Armie Hammer is widely condemned.
