I think it might be a mix of the very clearly collapsing economy and choice fatigue from a painfully overstaturated market. People can barely afford multiple games a year nowadays and there’s just so many coming out at once at what point do you say “screw it” and only focus on like 2 the whole year

I’m withholding all opinions on ultimate difficulty until the 7.5 ultimate comes out because I have a crackpot theory as to what they are possibly doing with it.

I think with a lot of games the argument can make a bit more sense by just replacing the word “fun” with “engaging” if it doesn’t keep your attention, it’s clearly doing something wrong, but even then there’s nuance to something like that too.
