i've been writing again ;_; so a wip wednesday.
Jungkook flushes. “Ah, no. I mean, yeah she’s lovely, but—” He looks around the club a little helplessly, not sure what brought him here, why he thought this was a good idea in the first place. “He’s not looking for someone to fuck anyway, right?” Yoongi says, just as the drinks arrive. Jungkook’s eyes bug out at the violent pink cocktail that Namjoon ordered for him, a fat Margherita glass rimmed with sugar. “Definitely not,” he says quickly, running his pinkie along the rim of the glass. Maybe he can get away with nursing this one all night. He’s never been great at holding his alcohol, not that he’s had a lot of practice. Sometimes, he’ll finish a small bottle of soju or a couple beers while they game on a Friday, but he’s not exactly getting hammered in his room by himself, is he? "But it wouldn't hurt to find someone you actually like, right?" Namjoon says with a wicked grin. "And Seokjin is your brother, so if you bring home some girl that's totally not your type, he's going to just know." Yoongi nods slowly, swivelling his own Scotch on the Rocks, neat and demure, tiny cat or mobster. "He's right. You have to have some chemistry, and your face is so transparent. You gotta at least think they're hot." Jungkook feels his clingly shirt sticking to the dampness of his lower back, the Margherita slipping in his fingers. Getting here was one thing, overcoming the hurdle of just meeting Namjoon and Yoongi. Putting on pants so tight he’d never have even looked at them before tonight. It’s taken so much of his energy just to get here. The idea of walking into the swell of limbs on the dance floor, or approaching someone at the bar… it’s terrifying. “I don’t know if I can do this,” he mumbles, so low his voice is shaking. “I want to go home.”

yoongi makes me laugh so much in this video because why does he look like a middle aged dad that's waiting for his kid to stop singing karaoke with his friends so he can carpool them all home already.

"No you're not," Yoongi says softly. Jungkook thinks Namjoon might be crying too. He'd panic about that, but honestly, that's just Namjoon. He cries when Jungkook cries. He cries when Sophie sees Howl's heart for the first time. He's just Namjoon. "I just feel sick of being a burden." His laptop is too hot on his knees, and Jungkook should know better than to have it open in bed this long anyway. He can hear the hum of the overworked computer fan, the distant ripple of Hobi laughing at whatever. "He loves you, and the more you love someone…" Yoongi pauses to think, his eyes sharp at the corners. "Well, sometimes when you're that close to someone its hard be objective." "Right," Jungkook gulps, swallowing down the tears, all of the emotions he needs to sit with a little longer to get. "You okay, baby star?" Namjoon asks. And man, it's so late. They've stayed up talking half the night already, and Jungkook still needs to pick a dumb sheet mask. "Meh," he chuckles, tossing the skincare pouch to the foot of the bed and sprawling out so his arms are wide like an eagle, boiling hot computer toasting his abs. "Been better." "Been worse," Yoongi points, out and they all laugh.
