I think it's the same thing as the screenshots. You get a notification and a message containing helplines. I don't think anything happens after that. The point being is that it's used to harass people because they keep getting the notifications and messages even if the reporter is blocked.

It's quite a common tactic on reddit to report someone they don't like as being suicidal so they get the "reddit cares" message and post. Very common as a harassment campaign. It wouldn't surprise me if the same thing is happening in other parts of the Internet like IG.
