This is literally what’s called cheesesteak here

You’re looking at a freshly inspected Mercedes 240 D ambulance. With a 280 SLC body and drivetrain.

People used to do body/drivetrain swaps all the time in the ’80s due to heavy Finnish import taxation of the time. This is one of the more :chef kiss: examples.

These cars came with an airbag for both the driver and passenger. On the silver car you can see it still has the passenger airbag cover but the steering wheel has been replaced. Sure, the gearshift knob is tuning, but losing an airbag wheel definitely makes me suspect it’s been crashed once already.

Tell me the #1 red flag with this 2003 Peugeot 106 Pop Art if you can spot it. I didn’t, and @theemitchi.bsky.social needed to point it out. Unless there was a good explanation I’d steer clear of it

I love Caldinas because they are weird and rare, and the Avensis bodyshell is super normal and ordinary

I don’t think these Mazda pickups were ever common and they’re now downright rare. The same trucks were also available as Ford Rangers here, and they’re not the same as US Rangers.

I also drove a Smart. My take is that now that Daimler doesn’t have Jeep anymore, they turned Smart into Jeep with Geely. For … reasons. Anyway, it’s frickin’ fast and has green seats and Netflix.

I drove a new Renault 4 today! I really liked it, except for… the rear seat. Thing is, it’s simply too small to work as a Peugeot e-2008 alternative family car. In the Pug I can easily sit ’behind myself’, but the R4 rear seat is genuinely cramped.

It drives well, though, and trunk size is fine.

Listening to Lucio Dalla’s Automobili album from 1976. On ”Il motore del 2000” he sings how the engines 25 years in the future will be silent and quiet, and ”the exhaust will not smell of pollution. A boy or a girl will be able to breathe it”. 25 years after that imagined future, are we there yet?

The building on the left is the Fifth Avenue Hall in Harlem, on 127th St. It was built as a Socialist hub in 1917 and still stands, but it’s an apartment building nowadays.

Hey, this postcard sent from NYC in 1946 is suddenly again relevant

Forget your stadion rock band themed Volkswagen, I want this Primera named after an obscure Wetton-Bruford-Holdsworth-Jobson supergroup

Fit 16-inch Renault steelies since they had decent condition winters. I’m unsure if I’ll keep these on, though: the wheels have more rust than I would have liked, on the seams too, the 195/55R16 tires are not too tall but a bit wide and very near the suspension, especially thanks to ET44.

Corolla made it 500km home and the hubs don’t get hot anymore. Celebrated with an Ikea lunch.
