I forgot how *good* it feels to get a trim. (My hair is long enough that I can go a while without a cut.) This morning, made the decision for a trim after fighting with and cussing at my brush. 💇♀️

Today I cleaned out a bag I haven’t used in a while. Found a schmedium memo pad I haven’t used in years. Half of the contents was my journaling in early 2022. I have burned said pages in the fireplace without fanfare. Toodleloo!!! 👋

Trying to avoid dairy as best I can right now since I’m having sinus issues…. Thankfully just found some butternut squash and sweet potato soup I had frozen quite some time ago. No other snacks are really talking to me so this works.

So I just had my team touchpoint. Tried hiding out in the computer room, but parental unit was hollering at each other for stuff 🫣
My team and I had a good laugh at all the chaos that ensued. But let this be a PSA: if your aging parents have hearing aids, make them wear them!! And turn them ON.

Today is a friend’s? birthday. This person used to be a ride-or-die kind of friend. There has been a chasm steadily growing between us over the last several years. Sadly, I am torn whether or not to attempt contact today.

It was a LHS (lift heavy shit) morning at the gym. I had my post-workout yogurt smoothie on the ride to the office. I then had a high protein brekkie sammie with second coffee. WHY AM I STILL HONGRY? Maybe I need to hydrate? Or is this gonna be a snackful day?

A year ago today, my guy was stuck on a mountain thanks to Helene. She was a terrifying destroyer of some of the finest parts of our state. Communication was challenging, but the guys survived and lived like cowboys for a few days. Once I could guide them off the mountain, we could breathe easier.

Scored an immersion blender kit(?) on clearance at a discount spot. Note: I didn’t read the contents of the box, since the price was very good. Discovered there is a whisk attachment AS WELL AS a milk frothing attachment today. I. Am. Winning.
