Beautiful villas in #Dinard, France, built for wealthy merchants in late 19th century, a time of huge wealth inequality.
Great to see so many being immaculately restored - but renovation of this quality must cost millions.
Presumably only possible as a result of today's huge wealth inequality...?

This #book is a revelation. Instead of an overwhelmingly long list of mystifying dos and don'ts, it explains the *why* of #gardening.
Once you know that, the rest falls into place.
Interesting that it's by a scientist not a #horticulturalist. Experts can be awful at explaining things to novices...
