Loved Blue Moon. Ethan Hawke is great … and Margaret Qualley simply extraordinary.

Moving, slow-burning and brilliantly done.

Early years attendance sets the stage for lifelong learning and friendships.

But the latest EPI data is worrying: absence is rising, espec for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Find out how to make a difference in this new EEF blog:

Pleased, and a little surprised, that this book has been downloaded over 200,000 times as a free PDF.

That's just a number. What matters is how colleagues are using these ideas to make a difference for children and families. Thank you for reading, sharing and discussing.

Delighted to be at PEDAL’s 10th anniversary conference, hearing minister Stephen Morgan advocating for the importance of play in children’s lives.

If you love walking in High Beech, Epping Forest, you might have stopped at Carl’s tea hut?

More than 30 years ago, I first got a cheese roll and tea from the big urn.

His daughter took it on, but the new parking charges etc meant she couldn’t make it work.

So sad to see the hut has gone.
