This is a glaring example of poor local news reporting. Mayor's office has been pressuring Council members for the last week. The ordinance that has been in committee since Oct 6 is expected to be voted on tomorrow - and will quite likely advance to a Council vote on Dec 1.

It is a different sort of group project. One where the leaders pick the pockets of the 500,000 member group, who have no clue what's happening to them.

Lots of reward from corporate interests for this behavior, through campaign contributions etc. That in turn ensures no political penalty.
