Canada here. Hoo Boy! I'm not sure he (or whoever/whatever wrote that) entirely understands the concept of Thanksgiving.

Cory Docktorow also wrote a great book about the state of social media, called "Enshittification" (also made into CBC podcast "Who Broke the Internet"). Excellent read/listen.

I deleted Instagram, Twitter and FB about 2 years ago. It was hard but the best thing I've ever done as I would spend part of my day twisted up inside about the vileness of some commenters (mostly bots and trolls). Why feed into it? Read Cory Docktorow's "Enshittification".

Might be better to set the example from the top Sean as wearing a suit doesn't seem to instil civility at that level, so "quiet piggy". Plus I think he's thinking of "compliance" rather than civility.

Outranked, outperformed, wasn't a DUI hire, didn't abuse women or alcohol, wasn't a serial cheater, didn't get publicly shamed by his mother and much more.

Politicians are routinely generalised as power-mad, greedy, corrupt. But MANY are there in service to their country. Publicly and privately they undergo threats, smears, attacks. Bravo to the hero politicians that put themselves through this brutal process instead of opting for lucrative comfort.

Currently in Germany where a quarter of the grid is wind power. There are lots of windfarms and they remind me of the old windmills, oddly calming, and if something has to obstruct the view in the name of energy then they are not unpleasant.
