Chester the Romanian rescue dog’s first trip to the beach! Obviously he loves the Northumbrian coast (the GOAT of coastlines) but shares his owner’s aversion of getting his paws wet.

There is a slight widening of the gap (1%, I think it is), but considering we’ve had months of school closures, overall it’s looking pretty good to me. My son is in Year 9 and missed huge chunks of Year 4 and 5.

Out and about lots this week but favourite trip out was to see students participating in Securing Foundations at Year 7 at Ponteland High School - here they are securing fluency in doubles and related doubles. Have just dragged the offspring to see the Turner exhibition at the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle. Wow! Even they were roused out of their usual adolescent apathy.
And we got to play ‘What do you think is in Isabella’s pot of basil?’💀🌱
