Certainly not those that have sacrificed critical thought for emotion to a man.

institutions are crumbling. 1st Amendment rights are going wobbly, charges against a journalist covering #Minneapolis . We still don’t know the names of the officers who killed Alex Pretti. And the president is sucking up all the taxpayer money he can. www.thebulwark.com/p/defang-ice...
Defang ICE → Save the Midterms
The fight over ICE isn’t just about civil rights. It’s about free and fair elections, too.

And when history looks back on this moment, your names will be included on the list of how it was allowed to happen.

This from @andreapitzer.bsky.social is key.

“nobody sane now thinks the answer to abuses at Dachau was to give the guards more training.”
I wrote about how concentration camp regimes evolve and why it's not too late to stop this, even though we are deep in it now.
Into the abyss
The correct response to Dachau was not better training for the guards.

Well, there’s your mistake. Trump is not your friend, and deals with Trump are meaningless because he will tear them up or ignore them whenever it suits him. Kinda like he does with our laws and Constitution.

I am not exaggerating when I say ICE functions as a terrorist organization in the Twin Cities. The goal seems to be to harass and frighten people (the ones who are lucky enough to not be abducted, at least) and it's deeply unsettling when you learn they're in your neighborhood.

I want you to know: that's their goal.

They want you checked out. They want you burnt out. I get it. I feel it.

Take a break, but don't give up. When you give up, they win.
