This is the way. I keep at least three copies - one on a fast work drive, an 8-bay NAS with redundancy, and at least one external drive (preferably offsite). I used to use the BM Multidock, but as my workflow became more mobile, I switched to portable drives.

Aimo Koivunen, a Finnish WW2 soldier, was the first known case of a combat drug overdose. Fleeing Soviets, he accidentally took 30 Meth pills instead of one. He skied 250 miles with a heart rate of 200 BPM, escaped capture, ate a raw bird, lay wounded for a week - and lived to tell the tale.

Tested both and went with the M2 Max 14". Pretty sure I'll stick with the 14" from now on — love the portability. The 16" just felt too big. It replaced my desktop, but I’ve been enjoying the freedom of editing in random places for a change. Cutting in #Resolve

Slightly off-topic, but if a one-page website (profile, landing, or portfolio) suits your needs, I recommend Carrd. I used to run hosted WordPress sites, then two Squarespace sites (work and personal), but switched to Carrd. For $19/year, you get access to custom domain support and other extras.

Greetings from the mailbox vigil. My indie doc was acquired for intl distribution last year - Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Google Play, 66+ territories. I’ve been congratulated on becoming a millionaire so many times that I’m convinced the 7-figure check must still be in the mail.

We’re being taught UK English in schools, but almost everyone speaks US English here in Finland. They get mixed often. I use sidewalk/tap/zucchini.

It might be worthwhile to build a good relationship with a Motion Designer. The need is often somewhat repetitive (titles, l3rds) and shouldn't incur a massive cost. It used to be my job, and I still make all the graphics I need. I was always happy to do quick gigs while working on longer projects.

It’s excellent! If you haven’t tried it, I can highly recommend Poulet au vinaigre - another French classic. It’s a nice learning process, adjusting the acidity to suit your taste.

Playing the drums in my youth and making music later on have shaped the way I edit. I tend to think of cuts as snares, kicks, toms, and cymbals, building up into a beat. It usually happens unconsciously.
