Maybe im coddled by disco elysium where failing is still fun so it encourages you to play in the space but I picked bad choice on purpose (hubris wizard), lost a dice roll, and was rewarded with instant death and my companion getting two-shot, losing 1.5 hours of progress in the introduction.
