ah man thank you! seeing all the art you’d been putting out recently helped make me want to work on some of my own again

progression pacing in a lot of the recent games feel ludicrously fast in comparison, starting off I could make a full set and new weapon in the same time it takes me to make maybe two pieces of armor in some older titles

they definitely lost a lot of the interesting and fun friction the older titles had when it came to preparing for or actually finding, fighting and capturing monsters. even just getting a single piece of new gear feels like a sizeable upgrade here compared to something like wilds

gen 3 had so many good pokemon, absolutely love hariyama
