I have so much print on my bookshelves; one thing I like about AVCX is being able to feel like I'm not missing out without taking up more space. (Also, I just prefer solving online, though probably for not unrelated reasons.)

In a UK daily, you’re making a puzzle named Cryptic #12,554 or whatever. I can’t imagine a format more well suited to making it as “of the now” as possible. People don’t go back and solve the backlog, and if they do finding clues of their time will be the charm of it.

I absolutely don't want to tell you how to live your life, but to me as a constructor, the thing that would be valuable is a notated distinction between "This is in Chambers" and "This is in *these* other dictionaries" and "this has been observed in usage post-2000 CE."

Saying water-deprived to delete HOH from some fodder would be fine. Saying water-deprived to delete HOH which is mixed into the fodder is an indirect anagram. We do not do indirect anagrams (unless they're doing something much funner than this.)
