I use AI in game development because it searches for solutions faster than I can. I have been struggling with Flex in UI Toolkit. And let me assure you - programmers are in no danger of AI taking our jobs. #gamedev

I was told by an anti-authoritarian group that I am not allowed to protest any of their decisions and if I don't agree, I must keep silent.

The irony is killing.

How to destroy the economy. Threaten social security and watch everyone on it stop spending money on all but absolute necessities because we're needing that money to pay the mortgage. This is going to hurt. People with walkers blocking every intersection in DC anyone? #resist

To all my game designer friends who like bling, I highly recommend bling game designs. It makes it so much prettier. It is especially fun for UI design. I use markers, glitter paper, stick on jewels. Bling it out. (I'm such a child). #gamedev

I wouldn't want to stand on the scaffolding for long, but I am one day away from finishing this part of it and starting the next part. One day I'll need to go back and correctly write the code currently duct taped together. But that day is not today. Onward and onward. #gamedev

A doctor told someone a fact. The someone felt the doctor was ignorant and came to the group asking. 95% of the group agreed, ignorant doctor. I thought so too, but looked it up and shocked, doctor is right. But WHY did the rest of the group assume they were right and not check? Worrisome.

People seem to think because we aren't winning right now, we aren't fighting with everything we have. People somehow thing that if you're righteous and you work hard, the world will automagically go your way. #delusions

In Ever, Jane the story engine was an opt in game mechanic. In my new game, it will drive the entire game. I'm building the scaffolding now and pretty excited about it. We build one pipeline at a time until, one day, they all connect. #gamedev

For those whose energy is flagging, who feel helpless, and who need some inspiration I offer one my favorite songs so well done! "It isn't the size of the fist, it's the size of the dream." #Broadway

When everything is working smoothly in my life, I have this underlying urge to screw it up somehow. I wish I knew where that came from. Or, better yet, I wish I could drop kick it into oblivion. #life

I learned a new word: mebibyte. A megabyte is 10 to the 6th bytes while a mebibyte is 2 to the 20th. I have been in computer science since 1977 and this is the first time I came across the word. Must not be used often. #gamedev

I have to remind myself AI is just a machine and I can simply close the window without explaining why I'm taking a break. I don't have to be nice to it. I still am, though. Interesting. #AI

Today I looked at my new desktop icons, the start of a new project and realized how very much I love my life. Maybe I don't love my government, but that's nothing new. But loving my life? Only in the past decade. Not everyone gets that and I can't really share it but I can hope others find it.

And now I have a database for my game. I have to build my classes next. But we're far enough along in design I can start to build some infrastructure. I feel professional again. I need that. A GDD is paper and not quite real. A database, now that's real! #gamedev

If we all pick one thing to stay focused on and let the rest flow on by content others have focused on them, then the firehose strategy fails. We have enough people for everything to pull focus, we don't need to focus on everything ourselves. #politics

Have you ever noticed when people call out for the country to unite, it's always around their perspective, their viewpoint and their policies? Ever hear someone say "Let's all unite around this guy we don't agree with"? I haven't. #politics

I mentioned that manifest destiny was coming back and both my kids looked at me and said, "Where, there's no place left". We decided it was Canada. We get Canada. All in all, a horrible speech filled with contradictions. No more wars but we're taking Greenland. Say what? #politics

Feeling marginally bad about my response to a man explaining how pregnancy works and getting it wrong. Only marginally. Don't post memes without vetting them or my wrath may land upon your head. Hopefully that scares absolutely no one. #mansplaining

"Next" from Pacific Overtures is reminding me of Trump's last press conference. "We will organize an army and a navy with the most modern weapons...We will open up Formosa, Manchuria, Korea and China." Cannot stop laughing. #broadway #sondheim

Is there anyone left in America who understands black swan events? We are creating scape goats right, left and sideways. The ignorance from people who have no idea what the building codes in SoCal are just blaming the government because nothing bad is ever supposed to happen to us. I do not grok.
