Funny how the people we're told to fear are statistically the ones most likely to help us, while the "authority figures" are the ones we actually need protection from. 🎭 The math is in: less time obsessing over trans folks and immigrants, more time fixing the actual systems of harm. 📉
Statistically you're safer from crime as a stranger amongst immigrants than you are around ICE. You're safer amongst drag queens than around pastors, especially as a child. You're better cared for by the poor than the rich. You're far safer with an immigrant as an intimate partner than a cop.
