Says everything how Trump views who's important. As a 70 year old white straight man who applied to college and jobs a decade after the Civil Rights Act, my life was a lot easier. I'm sure Trump's was too. To not understand that helps recreate and sustain injustice.

Important read on US oligarchs Greenland role. The key starting point is Estée Lauder's heir gave Trump the idea to take over Greenland and now's investing millions to benefit some Greenland leaders. Their interests don't make good policy, but Trump responds to money.

Good news. With the Senate close on a compromise bill and Trump signaling flexibility, something should get done soon. While the final bill will be important to see, this wouldn't have happened without the shutdown and polling visibility to pressure Republicans.

Two statistics jump out. .1% of teens receive gender affirming care while trans assaults are 4X higher than non-LGBT+ people. For something that costs little, it sends a message it's okay to discriminate against trans people. That's wrong with immoral results.

Finally watched this documentary. The 1961 quote "as long as there is plenty, poverty is evil" from RFK still rings true. Those who can, especially the government, need to help the poor more and make support easier to get. More importantly, we need to treat everyone with respect and end poverty.
