My monster dog (I love him so much) is on a new seizure med that's supposed to initially produce "profound" sedation and inappetance. So why did he interrupt me 5-8 times demanding second breakfast and then need three different long walks IN THE RAIN today.

My sweet boy is still in the hospital with pancreatitis, but today I got some pictures of him and a tiny walk outside! We are so lucky to live close to Angell Animal Hospital, and I am so grateful for their care.

Got an update on Moose from the "care team" (non-medical personnel), with a picture that cracked me up. He's in a cone so his little head is just floating in space, and he's on SO many medications I think he's fairly stoned.

Yesterday while I was at the vet with Moose, T. took Jolene on a 5 mile hike. She was joyful and energetic the whole way, and this morning when T offered another walk she was like: excuse you this is my rest day.

I took the other dog out for a walk in the woods this morning, and as soon as I came back Moose took one hiking boot. He will not be left behind again!!

Took Jolene out for a walk in the woods at 7:15 AM. It was already so warm and so humid and the mosquitoes were ramping up. But we both got some woodlands joy and she is now sleeping through this absurd 100F day

When my older dog was a puppy she got out of the backyard and I didn’t even know until I heard her barking. On the front porch, to be let in. Truly no better dog is possible.

This is a tiny little wildflower I saw at the dog meadow. I was worried about how moose would do, because he’s on a new med and it has a (hopefully temporary) side effect of ataxia. But he ran around full of joy and I saw this little flower and it was a good morning.

I’ve spent a lot of this summer dealing with this dogs medical issues (he’s OK, he will be fine) and it’s a damn good thing he’s so cute. Here he is picking up his 4th prescription at CVS with me.
