I sat in on a completely fascinating briefing from the Young Men Research Project yesterday. Excerpt attached, but I highly recommend at least skimming the whole thing www.ymrp.org/polling

The Prop Q map I could find lacks nuance (as does any comparison between the proposition and the candidate divide, granted) but no surprises here!

Hike events include an extremely fresh mountain lion kill smack on trail (didn't have glasses on so can't confirm lion), feral hog, coyotes summoning other coyotes to my campsite, and finally some emboldened asshole aiming a rifle at me deliberately. Fuck him but I'll be back 😤

I've been hiking the Arizona trail all week but just bailed back to Flagstaff so I guess I'm going to No Kings Flagstaff today

This week's presidential library reviews: Eisenhower's may have the best grounds. Really lovely, very Kansas. But loses points big time for zero mention of his assassination of Patrice Lumumba in the DRC. I also would have liked more detail on the history of the interstate highway system

I think a lot of folks expected this, but they're gonna make another hard push to cut literally all remaining foreign assistance programming.

Rep Lloyd Doggett will be retiring given the new Texas maps. Mixed feelings about this - his office is phenomenal at constituent services, but age 80 is definitely when to call it.
