Smoking as a social habit can be sexy as hell, and is a way of creating familiarity and intimacy quickly.

1. People with technical educations have *always* desperately needed studies in history, literature, and critical thinking. The US has failed consistently with this.

Oh Bob, some obscenely wealthy men and their bought tools decided that there's moral hazard in equitably and legally distributing money to everyone. They don't want us to spend it on healthy food and safe housing when their yachts and private jets need fuel and staff. That would be wrong. /snark

PS: We overthought a wedding from 2004 until we went to the DC Court House in 2016 following the first traumatic Presidential election. Also: one loud introvert and one extreme introvert, both judgmental don't make for a sparkling wedding couple.

It's not easy to remove someone from the SES by rescinding their appointment. There is, however, a lot of discretion in and ability to assign people with SES-appointments to different positions should there be issues with performance and conduct.

Clarence Thomas has said publicly that he thinks Obergefell should be overturned and that precedent can be reconsidered. This is a bad-faith Supreme Court and almost anything is possible.

This is why impeachment for cause and the 25th Amendment exist as remedies for criminal and incapacitated Presidents.

Sadly, our elected representatives and political appointees lack the courage, discernment, and will to apply them.
