At a time when tens of millions of actual pigs (sensitive, intelligent beings) are being brutalized, tortured, and killed, this sort of thing is absolutely inexcusable. Pigs do not deserve to be "executed"; and we should all stop using "pig" as an insult word. As I write in my book:

After spending months disparaging Mamdani's policy ideas, including his plan for free buses, the @nytimes.com is running this story only now--after the election.

Shout out to Book Passage in Marin for sponsoring my book talk yesterday, to C-SPAN for taping it, and to the wonderful animal advocates who came out to hear it. While waiting in the green room before my remarks I saw this pinned to the wall:

Fox News at this hour (Wed. night, 11/12): Rupert is doing a great job keeping Trump's name out of today's news about Epstein.

Interesting that other than Fox, the @washingtonpost.com is the
only major press outlet that hasn't yet reported on the Epstein emails. I guess Jeff Bezos is still trying to stay on Trump's good side.

Merely by saying that he will tax the rich, Mamdani has brought down the Democratic Party establishment and its media organs around his head. The @nytimes.com is already running stories implying that Mamdabi as a dangerous, two-faced Red.

AI is merely a commodity to further mystify the origins of social hierarchy and to amplify the already substantial powers of the wealthy:

Your tax dollars at work in the Middle East. (Not the medical treatment part--the mutilation and killing of children part.)

Talk about narcissistic injury--perpetrating a genocide is so "wearying."

A snapshot of how the information economy has changed, and why we are living in a post-truth environment: some time ago, Google took "News" off its main search bar. (It can only be found now under "More.")

Did the gunman really write "Anti-Ice" on one of the bullets? The problem with this administration is that it lies continually and even murders civilians--which are grounds enough to be skeptical of everything they say.

This is what the @washingtonpost.com construes as cutting-edge journalism--all the while studiously ignoring the genocide in Gaza.

This is how the @nytimes, which has all along been complicit in the Gaza genocide, is framing Israel's latest massacre of medical personnel and journalists: instead of a headline naming what happened as a war crime and crime against humanity, a headline relating Netanyahu's shameless lies about it.

The @nytimes published hundreds of online comments about the question of Palestinian statehood, but declined to publish mine. So I am posting it here.
