Yeah, it seems like he must have been coopted into some version of the SV "everything is fine" paradigm, which, okay, sure, whatever, from that perspective. But everything does not in fact seem to be fine!

He seems to have blocked me too, which I regret because I like him and think he's generally pretty reasonable on these issues. But come on. None of this recent AI stuff makes sense at all.

No. Those companies all get ad revenue. Does ChatGPT? (Maybe it does, I don't use any of this shit. But my impression is that it doesn't.)

Confederate and Union Arizona existed at the same time! New Mexico was always part of the union though.

It's very different from New Mexico, although the latter has always had its own issues. The long-term slant was the other way though.
