Artisanal bureaucrat. Faceless and unelected during office hours. Does health emergency stuff for the European Commission. Posts likely to be about EU and UK politics, movies, history, Brussels, rugby (Leicester Tigers fan), food.

Even if we extend the OP the benefit of the doubt re his original post, the litany of comments on these videos being fake should have been enough for him to take it down by now. Good intentions doesn't excuse this.

I think one of the things that marks London out from a lot of smaller European cities is that the level of wealth required to insulate yourself from social contact with people from a wide range of backgrounds is, relatively, *much* higher in London.

When @mertelstein.bsky.social got married, Etterbeek town hall's resident pianist decided, on his own initiative, to play 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out', sung with an outrageously thick Belgian French accent.

I have raised it with teachers and my take away was that not everyone is as aware as people on here tend to be that AI is somewhat error-prone

Does this depend on the commune? This was a big problem in my area until they said they would fine the operators for every bike or scooter dumped in the wrong place and the problem vanished overnight, at least in 1020 (though that is Bruxelles-Ville, so the same as Schuman?)

lots of links to Belgium as well. Rudolf was married to Princess Stephanie, who has a posh roundabout (really) named after her just down the road from my office; Princess Charlotte lived out her days in Bouchout Castle which is now the (v. fine) national Botanic Gardens, not far from my house.

Causing his wife to flee to Europe where she became so paranoid she used to keep live chickens tied to the furniture in her rooms so she could be sure no-one poisoned them before she ate them.

@timoconnorbl.bsky.social and I were talking on here the other day with an Argentinian who was annoyed that British school kids don't get taught about the Brits shooting up some Argie gunboats in 1848, and it's very much "have you seen all the stuff the European powers got up to in the 1800s?"

I thought that was a plot summary of his favourite film?

might as well crack this one out in celebration of being able to use some of the stuff I studied as an undergraduate, even if it was only to make a middling joke on social media
