Its more expensive in the short-term as well unfortunately if you're someone like me with a large library you want to self-host. I dropped maybe a grand on hard drives, synology, and an NUC.

But it's long-term worth it and it's great not having to be part of the Spotify discourse.

I only run linux on my home server for things like self-hosting my streaming music/TV streaming but I really do think as soon as my main Windows 10 desktop starts to crap out I'll be a full time Linux Guy.

Kind of feels like we've reached the end-stage of personal computers with Mac and Windows.
