As if yet another WNBA name that's a non-pluralized abstract concept wasn't bad enough, this non-pluralized abstract concept shares its name with a crappy old Ford that I can't help but think about every time I read it. Multiple aunts and uncles owned Toronto Tempos and they were shit.
This morning, the WNBA's Toronto Tempo unveiled its first uniform set for 2026. The maroon and white jerseys feature six speed lines down the sides, the team name across the chest trimmed in blue, and italic numbers.

This seems so cruel to fans in Quebec. I'd be shocked if many switched their allegiance to Colorado (or at least sustained it after 30 years), so wearing Nordiques unis in MTL just seems like pointlessly reopening an old wound.
