Well I’ve learned something today: “the Makaton for “crab” appears more like “undulating vagina” in BSL.”

I didn’t really understand it until I was a public defender in western KY. All of my black clients had family strung out north-south along US Highway 41 between Mississippi and Chicago. Juneteenth was huge in Paducah.

They’re told to, though it’s been happening long enough now that many of them were hired for that explicit purpose and they’re fine with it. I left legal publishing 5 yrs ago in part bc I didn’t want to crank out more fluff for our media side. They cut the $ by 25% and hired a fluff maker.

Fine I guess CBP spends some time doing boring customs stuff but really both are pretty thuggish and probably being pressed into being even more thuggish by the current admin. My sympathy is limited.

I have a friend who is a six sigma lean certified manufacturing engineer for a major auto maker. For her, in that context, it makes sense. Outside of large scale manufacturing it’s just ego stroking nonsense.

All of them would behave that way if they weren’t regulated. it wood bet he easiest vote in the word to pass a law improving severe liability for this stuff but ~waves hands~ here we are.
