Mary earned her PhD and MA in Psychology from the University of South Carolina, an MA in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Florida, and a BA in Psychology from Jacksonville University.

Before joining KU, he spent many years at the University of Vermont, where he led the MPA program and founded the university’s Office of Engagement. He is also a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration.
