This probably doesn’t qualify but a couple weeks ago I got this shot of a gull with one wing up and the other to the side that I can’t say I’ve seen very often. Anyone know how unusual it is. Or maybe it’s a navigational move to address contrary wind? It was a very windy day.

The speech was prior to the North Carolina legislature’s vote to redraw its congressional maps to hand Republicans another vote in Congress in 2026. Republicans’ gerrymandered maps already currently give them a 10-4 advantage even though Dem-GOP registered voters in the state are split evenly.

This helps explain why quite often I find that items I buy one week appear in the grocer flier at discounted prices the following week.
