She/her. Just a girl in the world.
It's always interesting when a timelapse shows there was an entire other drawing in there before the final one took shape.

Stay safe! We're mostly just getting really cold temps here, though there is a light dusting of snow.

Any character from Soul Calibur would be cool, but I'd especially be interested to see you draw Nightmare or Viola.

My wife got me the remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics for Christmas, so I've got some motivation to play more in 2026. Here's hoping!

I did watch more gaming streamers than I have in the past, so I feel like that helps make up for it some, but still all told not a lot of gaming happened. I do intend to return to Elden Ring and Legends Arceus at some point, because those were fun.

One across the nose, one down my chin, several on my chest. Very battle shonen coded.

Yeah I've been still going there some to look at art and keep up with vtuber stuff, but I think I'm going to give that up. It is too far gone.

For various reasons I'm debating if I even watch this year or if I just see what was announced after the fact. Might check out one of the Hololive co-streams of it to see what that's like. I look forward to your posts, too!

The one tip I can give is to lightly spray things with oil before they go in. I bought an oil sprayer that I can fill with whatever oil I want but a cooking spray is fine too. Also generally worth it to let it preheat a little bit before throwing stuff in.

Despite my love of cooking I've never actually owned an air fryer. I agree with the sentiment of a toaster oven with air fry as an option. I have a double oven where one has an air fry mode, so similar situation to that. Crisps things up nicely.

Good luck! Happy to see you taking the chance.

Looking forward to leftover turkey sandwiches in the days to come. Pickle turkey sandwich? Hell yeah.

Lastly, I'm just so relieved that this meal turned out so well. My wife and I have had a very difficult year, her especially, and I have made some mediocre Thanksgiving dishes in the past. But this year I was able to give her a very memorable and satisfying meal and that means so much.

And that's it! It was a ton of work but it all tasted great and was a wonderful meal. You might ask, "did you really make all that just for you and your wife?" And the answer is yes, and I'll do it again. I love my wife and cooking is fun.

My wife made her traditional family squash rolls which are always delicious. I look forward to these every year, and when we bring them to family gatherings they disappear instantly.

Roasted Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, and roasted corn. I didn't do anything fancy with these this year, they are just basic staples. It's good to keep some things simple so the flavors don't clash and to make the cooking easier. They are basic but also all came out well.

Green bean and parsnip slaw. On its own this is the least exciting part of the spread, its flavor isn't particularly stand out. It's a vinegar based slaw, though, which made it a very welcome cleanser from the rest of the meal which has a lot of bold and heavy flavors. Simple and clean.

Miso sweet potatoes with shallots. Love love love the flavor in these, it is so much more interesting than just making them sweet. Miso is a flavor I really enjoy and have been experimenting with more this year, and I think this really nails it.

Next up is pear and ginger cranberry sauce. I love cranberry sauce, and the extra flavors in this really complimented the sweetness and tartness of the cranberries. A + would make again.

The pickle turkey was chosen specifically for my wife because she loves pickles. Her reaction when she tasted it was amazing. Probably the best individual food item in the whole menu.
