Yeah! So im definitely going to the Marigold show at Korakuen on the 4th! Still waiting to see if any smaller promotions are having shows around the area!

It's not about being friends with your competition. You can still conduct business differently and not be friendly. For example I think Tony handled the Fenix thing correctly.

I remember all of it, I was constantly defending Tony for being "pro" wrestler and not company, and a lot of people felt the same.

It wasn't really letting him out, it was just not picking up the option. His contract would have expired in late spring early summer. Tony picked up the company option.

He just didn't have to pick up the option. All he had to do was let the contract expire. The MAX deal wasn't even announced for another few months after Ricky's contract would have expired. Keeping wrestlers under contract when they want to leave to keep down competition is classic WWE tactics.

It was a very wwe esque choice. I expect better of Tony because being "pro" wrestler instead of "pro" ftw was what a lot of us felt aew was built on. Honestly it probably ended up worse for him, he lost a lot of good will for the way he handled this situation with fans.

Yeah! I think we might be staying in Ota city (not 100% on that), but it's not too far from the airport and only like 30 from shibuya!
