Blogs about travel and hiking (mostly hiking!) in Vancouver, Canada. https://www.awalkandalark.com/
I messed up yesterday.

We hiked up a teeny mountain, but didn't leave enough time to hike back before it got dark/the gates closed... So we had to run 5km back.

My husband was so mad.

Belcarra Mountain is a gorgeous trail and easy to reach from Vancouver. Just give yourself enough time!

We headed up into the snow at Sasquatch Resort for Christmas day - It was the best snowshoeing conditions (but pretty tough to walk in all that powder.)

Woooah - today I went to Quarry Rock (Deep Cove near Vancouver) with my friend and we had the views all to ourselves!

Last time I went there were 100+ people, so it was a nice surprise!

England has seemed very grey/brown and dark on this visit. We've still walked a lot, but the countryside is soooo muddy right now.

At least the mini pork pies are good.

Amazing spot in the Peak District; Lud's Church.

There weren't many hikers around today, so we had it all to ourselves...

Goodness, Lincoln might not have a Christmas market this year (😔) but it is a beautiful city to visit!

I know I shared my cat already today, but he is having such a chilled day, I have to share again.

The internet needs this belly.

Folks that walk their cats, do you have a light you'd recommend for adding to their leash?

It's getting really hard to see Archie in the evening walks.
