Summer’s magical and bla bla bla but we’ve also entered childcare no man’s land. So y’know, be kind to each other, especially to working parents. And y’know, make a lot of noise about the childcare crisis that a lot of people are still ignoring in this…*checks notes*…land of opportunity.

Indeed, "elderly Black Americans are disproportionately likely to lack a birth certificate because they were denied equal access to hospitals, including for childbirth, because of legal segregation."

And also: "...many Americans—especially elderly, Black, and brown Americans—have never received a birth certificate."
