Somebody posted a picture of a wet crow that they described as having "infinite water" and my brain immediately interpreted that as a story @tkingfisher.com would tell about her tabletop campaign.
The bird of infinite water. Once attuned, this seemingly normal crow can always be found within your movement distance. If the crow can be caught, it will immediately vomit one cubic meter of fluid on the person who catches it. If the person is the attuned, the fluid is pure, clean water. If the person is not the attuned, the fluid is vomit.

Meanwhile--and as far as I can tell, the administration isn't even denying this--the president has knocked down a big chunk of the White House. How is that not the lede of this article. "The President has demolished the facade of the East Wing of the White House." 8/
A piece of construction equipment is in the middle of absolutely wrecking the White House's shit, dear god. The facade of the East Wing is in tatters. There's a dude with a hose hosing down the area where the machinery is working. It is impossible to describe how awful this image feels. Arguably the proudest and most well-known image of American ideals is getting knocked down by a Volvo crane. They couldn't even use a Bobcat? Why does it feel worse that the White House is being knocked down by a piece of Swedish construction equipment? I don't know, but it does. This is not the sort of neutral stance that alt text deserves but if you are reading this description and not able to look at the image it is important to me that you understand the spiraling, fractal, chaotic way in which this image just feels fucking awful.

Deleting this paragraph about whether a rutabaga can be an airline pilot (with citations to three different government resources and the Code of Federal Regulations) because i have begrudgingly decided that it is not needed in this video about the role of AI in education. o7

I know that this essay will be good. I know that when it all comes together my argument will be compelling and interesting and engaging and maybe even persuasive. But also I look at my script and see things like this and like, man. Fighting an uphill battle with what i'm like.
