There’s nothing our Founders wanted more than to give a single man unreviewable power to raise import taxes on his subjects, especially if he doesn’t like a commercial.

This would cost over $600 billion. For perspective, we spent $7 trillion in fiscal year 2025 and had $5.2 trillion in revenue for a $1.8 trillion deficit.

The runner up for the Nobel Peace Prize starts testing nuclear weapons, begins military occupation of cities, and mobilizes military for invasions of both Venezuela and Nigeria.
Trump says we are preparing to invade Nigeria. Apparently that’s what voters said they wanted in the exit polls. Trump: “We’re going to do things to Nigeria that Nigeria’s not gonna be happy about. Guns-a-blazin!”

The last time Democrats won 64 seats in the Virginia House was 1987. To put that in context, in 1987
- Reagan said “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!",
- Platoon won best picture, and
- The Simpsons first appeared as shorts on The Tracy Ullman Show.

Trump started a riot in DC, bombs boats on the regular, occupies cities with the military in peace time (which we literally complained about in the Declaration of Independence) and will make us the first country to test nukes since 1998 other than North Korea, but sure he’s Mr. Peace.

As we think about 2028, it’s important to remember that Trump and his crackpot lawyers argued in 2020-2021 that the VP (now Vance) has the constitutional power to reject electors. If a Democrat wins, Vance could force a constitutional crisis or we could see a “Hang JD” riot.
