I’m going to post this again, because I think it’s worth saying that the disparity between quintiles might be why there is a disconnect on this issue

The current ploy I believe is to say they’ll release whatever you are “legally entitled to” meaning that if a corrupt DOJ lawyer says “national security” (because it involves the president) or “ongoing investigation” because of the bogus “investigate the Epstein Dems” tweet, then we don’t get it

The rationale is supposed to be that you don’t attempt to compromise ongoing investigations. By every measure besides Piggy’s tweets this investigation was over the moment SCOTUS denied Maxwells petition for cert.

Does Trump have the power to release the files himself? I know that’s what all the writers are going with today, but if we didn’t have a fundamentally corrupt DOJ beholden to Trump, isn’t it their call? I would think if this was in Biden’s lap he would have deferred to DOJ

Some sort of corrupt guarantee here has been made to Trump about the files. Either they will be fraudulently released as complete without his name when they are incomplete or enough senators have agreed to hold out to give him cover. You don’t go from pressuring people in the situation room to this

The fact that they are all actively doing this now and Trump is acting like a cornered badger makes me think the files must have some irrefutable proof of Trump having sexual activity with someone in the 15-17 age range
