The Hunger Games was written in 1st person >>present tense<< which threw me at first, but grew to accept and then love it. I could NEVER write that way myself though.

It's a single story, originally released as 5 novellas, but could be read as a beefy 600-page novel. Likewise, Dune contains 3 volumes, but is packaged as a single novel. I've gone back and forth on the cover.

In 2012, before "going viral" was a thing, I dropped my debut novel "Cyberdrome" from $7.99 to $0.99 on a dare, and immediately began selling over 200 copies per hour. The six books I've written since then are much better, but I've never seen sales like that since. It's all about the algorithms...
