anyway, built an app about this stuff after talking to, and coaching, hundreds of founders. mostly just trying to help people not waste months and learn startups.

the most successful founder I know built a "boring" B2B tool after watching his own engineering team save hours/day with chat. It was called Slack.
no AI. no disruption. just saved people's inbox.

with ATS systems weeding people out before even talking to a human. We now have AI generated CVs fighting against AI-empowered Applicant Tracking Systems. It's no wonder the process effing sucks, there is no humanization. I don't want to talk to machines, or have the machines decide that my pattern

Anyone have Case Studies comparing a prompts for a Javascript game where one is a vague prompt versus including a PRD in the context with explicit instructions?

Perhaps learning to make better prompts and not blame the tool for the output could fix some of the underlaying issues when it comes to code generation. If you have to be explicit in your code... then why assume an LLM can infer your vague request?

Is it tool that is worthless? Or is the prompt just shit? If I were to ask a junior coder the same thing, I would most likely get the same result. However if I asked them to make a game and separate out the logic, characters, etc. into maintainable folders and files... will I get the same result?

As a quick fix, today we are shifting "All" to the last option and now default to "New". Tiny UI change, but radically different message being sent to new users.

As for actually building. In SONODY we have a CRM-lite functionality. We noticed that users were landing on their Bundle to manage it and the view (or Vue if you want to get technical) defaults to "All", but they couldn't shift anything from "All"...
