Eh, serious military thinkers going into the war were well aware of how deadly modern weapons were. They witnessed plenty during the Russo-Japanese and Balkan Wars. They just thought an offensive spirit (elan) could overcome

It’s not even true about the war he was speaking about. The gentry and peerage class made up most officer corps back then and they were devastated (especially in the beginning of the war)

Where I work the robots do everything except on the line except for uploading and offloading. Us humans in the plant run periodic validation checks and attempt troubleshoots when the robots have faults
