It's incredible the amount of tone-deafness that academia and scientists have. These folks are accused of being "woke" and anti-American....but when it comes to Indigenous people of the Americas, they are as Settler Colonial as the next guy.

Anti-Indigenous thought and action also exists (probably worse than from outside groups) within Native communities. Endemic in Latin America but ppl pretend it doesn’t exist in the USA and Canada but it does. Especially Oklahoma.

This is a petition for healing. A letter of love to siblings and first cousins. We need the Amerindigenous of Anglo and Latin America to stop following the Settler Colonial borders & beefs. This is our place! And we culturally share monarchs, corn, sunflower, eagles and hummingbirds. #AmericanBeauty

We gotta act and talk about "community" when it comes to FAIR. Big time genomicists are being naive, arrogant, egotistical and downright criminal when they say FAIR serves the community. It doesn't. It serves only big monied researchers with private IP contracts with corporations.
