BEGINNING OF A RECESSION? Given the job creation numbers published today, I do not think Trump can fire enough messengers to hide the bad news. Just add some ice and a pinch of Epstein scandal, shake well, and you have the perfect cocktail to celebrate Trump's demise. (I hope McEntarfer sues him).

THE GENIUS OF THE ART OF THE DEAL HAS ALREADY CAVED IN. I wouldn't be surprised if China ends up dictating the terms of the deal while he sells it to his MAGA constituency as "the best deal in American history." We will see if prices go up along with inflation and unemployment.

Silver lining: the 2026 elections look winnable now, even with clueless and spineless Democratic representatives such as Schumer. Trump's announced "short-term pain" will last well past 2026 and everybody will have to suffer. Anger will be the Democrats' best friend.

When it's clear Trump will not obey the courts, we will enter a constitutional crisis leading to a dictatorship. I only see two fronts for change: 1. A massive recession 2. His cholesterol: he might have a heart attack or a stroke that forces him to retire (Vance cannot hold the coallition together)
