This matchup is separated by a much smaller unit than the giant spodumene crystal from the Etta Pegmatite in the Black mining Hills of South Dakota. Went here in field camp (about the time of the linked photo haha) so voting spod for sentimental reasons...

Haha only for the last 40 yeats or so, but I justify it by being at least peripherally employed as a geologist for all that time. Not that that matters, once a geologist, forever a geologist!
