neeeeee!?!?!? pfff dit doet heel veel pijn

We find that the precession of the binary's orbit can introduce a dominant modulation in the amount of gas the black holes accrete and in the corresponding high-energy electromagnetic lightcurves.

Our group so far only consider black holes orbiting in perfect circular orbits, however this is very unlikely to be the case in reality. Our new study focuses on eccentric binaries and how the precession of the eccentric orbit changes the gas dynamics and the accompanying electromagnetic signatures.

Supermassive binary black holes are expected to be present in numerous galaxies as a result of galaxy mergers. The identification of them is a big open question for our community, and many degeneracies in electromagnetic signatures exist.

Thanks!! Due to two body problems i will commute from NYC into Princeton a few days a week so not gonna move! But excited about the Princeton community! Will let you know if I have questions:)

This puzzle is still to be solved! Is the jet pointed at us which makes it hard to see? Is the jet just very low power? Is the black hole not spinning rapidly to generate these outflows? Is the ambient prohibiting the jet to propagate? A big question still to be solved!

We find strong coherent magnetic fields on the event horizon. Which is somewhat puzzling, M87 is very similar however this allows M87 to launch a strongly relativistic jet, a stream of highly energetic particles and magnetic fields, but we dont see this at larger scale for our own black hole!

My main contribution was that I, together with colleagues, used my polarized radiation transfer code RAPTOR to generate over a million realization of SgrA* to understand its accretion disk structure near the horizon.
