Honestly, I feel like if this was any other series, it probably would've just been a nitpick since the game itself looks good. Cuz one annoying nerdy NPC with quippy lines, fine whatever. But for Metroid, I could see why it can kinda derail the whole thing, especially with how much they talk.

As someone who doesn't play Metroid games but understand their appeal, I feel like even if the rest are well-written and likable, or even tone down their lines at some point, the fact that they're there talking and being with you I feel like kinda undermines the whole isolation aspect of the series.
