During my recent trip to Tottori, the sand dunes were actually the place I was least excited for. To my surprise, I spent over 4 hours there as it turned out to be an absolute paradise for minimalist photography. Definitely one to come back to!

One of the benefits of living where I do is that I can see Mount Fuji from home. I saw some clouds forming around Fuji near sunset and opted to run out and get this shot. She doesn’t always come out in summer, but when she does, it is truly remarkable.

I was planning to drive up to this location, but as fate would have it the road was closed for construction. I had two choices, scramble to find a backup plan or hike the mountain in nearly 40C temperature with high humidity. I think you can guess which way I went.
