I was lucky enough to meet Clem Burke a few times over the years. He was a sweet man and an absolute beast on the drums. I’m sad that he lost this battle to Cancer. His beat will go on always in perfect time through his amazing catalog of work. What a musician!

Caturday special. A litter of feral kittens was born in our garage and we socialized, trapped, neutered/spayed them as well as having them vaccinated and now adopted! These little cuties are no longer homeless.
We are keeping the mom.

Officially done with trapping kittens. I feel a little evil taking these darlings away from Mama but it helps knowing we’ve found great homes for them. I’m also VERY relieved knowing their mom isn’t having any more babies.
She’s staying with us for now. Hoping we can find her a home too.

I don’t know if anyone is following our stray kitten drama but we trapped the mom and one cat yesterday and got them to the vet. The kitten is so cute a volunteer at the clinic adopted her immediately. ❤️

When people talk about Oakland they love to bring up the dangerous gangs. Us Oaklanders know the most dangerous gang are the notorious Wild Turkeys. This morning they claimed my backyard and all I can do is give them whatever they want and hope they leave us alone. They will F you up!!!

I just won the High Hair Heptathlon, probably my last, at the House of L’Moore Cat Sanctuary, Oakland, California. Such an honor! The Awards Dinner is tonight at the scratching post. I want to thank all you little people, out there in the dark, and all of the countless Hair Burners who LOST! Wheeee!

Socializing our stray kittens is going well. They eat out of our hands now and we can pet them while they’re eating. One of them lets us pet them even without food bribes. They are SO soft. Just need to find a home for two of them. Any Bay Area folks looking for an adorable black kitten?

We have a sweet feral cat who’s been coming to our yard for a while now. She ended up having kittens and we are trying to socialize them. They are getting more n more trusting and they will be ready for homes soon. They are food motivated and we can pet them while they eat but still a bit skittish.

I grew up in NM. Never knew a thing about this until today. Wonder if this is why my mom has had so much cancer. Did this cause mine? The Navajo Nation has massive amounts of cancer. This was totally covered up!
