Trump's America is not a “safe” country for anyone.

That's why Canada must end the Safe Third Country agreement, and reopen legal pathways for those who seek asylum at our borders. Sign the petition now:

I just signed a letter to Prime Minister Carney being circulated by 350.org. But I personalized it to reflect my own thinking and thought I’d share it in case anyone is motivated to send their own letter. Here's a link

Look at this post by the VP of the USA and this photo of the subject car after the shooting. There were 3 shots fired, one through the very edge of the windshield and two through the side window. Where do you conclude the ICE officer was standing?

Flights to the region were suspended during he Maduro kidnapping. Reading the news I stumbled on a tidbit emblematic of Trump’s striving to return to the 1950s: On February 10, 2025, the FAA changed the term "Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM)" to "Notice to Airmen” (NOTAM)". www.faa.gov/about/initia...

It's lasted longer, but almost a year on it's still unclear whether American democracy will survive the onslaught. Time to revisit the cautionary tale of Germany in the 1930s.. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

This in-depth look at the proposed Pathways Alliance carbon capture and storage project raises a lot of concerns as to whether it is even feasible. Seems to be a shaky foundation on which to base Canada's national carbon reduction plan.

It's disgusting that the Israeli regime claims to be acting on behalf of the Jewish people. They do not! This Globe and Mail article by David Paperny speaks for me and countless other Jews worldwide!

Although it may seem democratic on the surface, this development in Mexico is alarming. An independent non-partisan judiciary appointed on the basis of merit and not transient political considerations is essential for a well-functioning society based on the rule of law.

The case for proportional representation is undeniable.

CTV reports on how our democracy distorting voting system fuels regional divisions, and how proportional representation can fix it.

@mark-carney.bsky.social, will you champion a system where every vote truly counts?

To my American friends, this is what your President has done to the international reputation the US spent well over a century building … trashed in 3 months.

Trump is threatening to annex Canada. The last time the US invaded, in 1812, the Canadians (and British) fought fiercely and even burned down the White House. The war ended in 1814 with an agreement “to return to the state that had existed before the war and restore all conquered territory”.
