The reason why I shared this, is because we all think everything is going to be alright. We’re all staring in our own movies, and there’s always a happy ending, right? Like, don’t be pessimistic or cynical, but we can acknowledge that things don’t always end up alright and it’s okay to be prepared.

I literally just came back home from a year in Afghanistan that day, so the priority in my mind at the time was acclimating back into civilization. Less than 3 days later, I got a call that she passed. Just boom, out of nowhere. I was absolutely crushed.

I have no intention of making this about me during your difficult time, but this reminds me of what happened with my mom. She had “complications” after having her leg amputated due to her worsening type-1 diabetes, but they all thought she was out of the woods. So I canceled my trip home to see her.

It has zero relation to FetLife. So far, 80% of the profiles I click on are just a picture and basic details, nothing filled out in their profile. The other 20%, maybe only 1 out of 5 people that have a profile filled out are actually kinky, the other 4 treat it like a vanilla dating app.
