All true things. I suppose I see Israel’s actions as desperate. They became colonizers in the aftermath of the holocaust. Since then it’s largely been a spiral of violence and death, all attempting to maintain a status quo in an unstable region…

One of the advantages of the US is that legally, the US is like 50 different countries. Much more happens politically at local levels than in other countries. Also, getting anything nontrivial accomplished federally requires 4 branches of the US government agreeing which is rare. All is not lost.
